Customs authorities are tasked with collecting the revenue that is legally due. However, they have limited resources and naturally concentrate on finding where too little duty has been paid; they do not go out of their way to find and inform importers when they pay too much duty. I try to provide some balance to this equation. At the end of the day we can only achieve any results with Customs' or the Duty and VAT Tribunals' agreement.
